Event Description:
Chocolate is a traditional Valentine’s Day gift but honey is a lovely alternative. Like all types of love, honey is sweet. And after all, honey is the result of “an evolutionary love affair” between honey bees and flowers.
San Francisco Bee-Cause will be selling honey produced by its local SF honey bee colonies for $10 per 1/2 lb jar (cash only) as a fundraiser to support volunteer work at The Bee Farm during 2013. Honey will have a special Valentine-themed label. Human-sized bumble bees will lead kids in making bee and honey-themed Valentine Day cards.
