Grattan Playground

Grattan Playground is a hub for the Cole Valley Community with recreational facilities for all ages.  The clubhouse hosts several preschools.  The old equipment in Grattan Playground is failing - it received a ‘D’ rating from Parks Alliance Playground Reassessment Report of 2014. In its existing condition, the Grattan Playground does not meet current safety standards, nor is it ADA accessible. Friends of Grattan Playground want to see the playground revitalized, not simply repaired.  The playground is on a targeted list for renovation from the Failing Playground Taskforce 2014 and the Friends of Grattan Playground have taken the lead with a design and applications for funding.  Now is a great time to get involved with improving this well loved community park - see the Friends of Grattan Playground website for more information. The park contains a clubhouse, restrooms, two tennis courts, a basketball court, a soccer field, and a children's playground with a wooden play structure and swings. Grattan Playground is owned by the San Francisco Recreation and Park Department.
