Community Investments in Our Parks

Together with our Park Partner organizations, San Francisco Parks Alliance raises millions annually to improve our parks, playgrounds, and open spaces - restoring both iconic park gems and neighborhood treasures while advocating for sensible park policies. Your philanthropic support is critical to San Francisco parks, now more than ever.

For ten years, San Francisco's most generous and dedicated park lovers and leaders have gathered for our annual Party for the Parks which raises thousands to support special Recreation and Park Department projects and to ensure that SFPA can continue to deliver on our mission.  Party for the Parks 2016 will be held at the Playground at the Panhandle on September 17, 2016.   To purchase tickets or become a corporate sponsor, click here.

The GearUp Fund was established by San Francisco Parks Alliance in 2009 at the request of San Francisco Recreation & Parks Department to fill the funding gap for equipment at five newly renovated recreation centers – to enable their programming in early childhood development, after-school enrichment, youth sports, fitness, arts and culture, programs for older adults, and community events. Toward this end, more than $500,000 has been raised and invested to date – fulfilling the needs of the initial five centers as well as others.
