Event Description:

Join us for our annual tuber digout. This is in preparation for our sale in April, at which time the public can get stock for the new season. We need as many helpers as we can get, experienced in dahlia dividing or not.  Dividing is a tricky skill, but we will provide instruction for those who are willing to apprentice for most of a day.

Extra hands are always welcome as diggers and labelers, even for just a few hours. Wear old warm clothes, and bring shovels and clippers if you have them. We will work rain or shine, as the gardeners let us use their shed with a Franklin stove, just to the west of the dell. The society will provide a pizza lunch, but pot luck appetizers, salads and desserts are welcome. Saturday you can drive right up to the Dell, but Sunday the park is closed to cars, but you can park near McLaren lodge and walk in.
