Maritime Plaza/ Golden Gate Way Plaza

Maritime Plaza, a two-acre plaza surrounding the Alcoa Building with two single-story structures containing a bank and a restaurant, was dedicated for public use in 1968. It is very spacious and beautifully landscaped, perfect for lunch breaks or a respite from sight seeing! The plaza is connected to Golden Gateway Center and Embarcadero Center by pedestrian bridges. The Golden Gateway Center is a lovely oasis filled with a variety of trees, bushes, and flowers!

Maritime Plaza is owned by the San Francisco Recreation and Park Department.
